Terms & Conditions

  • Please have your horse ready and clean when I arrive. A quick brush down is fine, just not caked with mud or dirt. Please avoid using coat/shine sprays before the appointment and make sure the horse is dry.
  • Please let your barn's staff know what date and time I am coming if you are unable to be there yourself, so they will be expecting me.
  • Horses must be ready in a location that is comfortable for them, i.e. cross-ties or stall.

  • I ask for at least 24 hour notice if you are unable to keep your horse's appointment, so I can plan accordingly. A cancellation fee of $40 will be applied if given less than 24 hours notice.
  • No show appointments will incur the full appointment charge.
  • If you are running late, please notify me, in case we may need to make other arrangements.
  • There are contraindications to equine massage such as fever, skin infections, medical issues, disease, cancer or injury. Owners are encouraged to speak with their veterinarian prior to scheduling a massage if they believe their horse falls into one of these categories.

Massage is not a substitute for veterinarian care, diagnosis or treatment. Animal owners should consult their veterinarian regularly, including in regard to any symptoms that may require diagnosis or treatment.

Massage therapy is a very useful measure for all animals as it provides relief to fatigued muscles while helping to prevent future injury and damage. Conditions such as acute muscle injury are benefited by massage therapy in addition to medical therapy. Massage does not replace veterinary care; if you are in doubt about a medical condition please consult your veterinarian. I am always willing to be present during a veterinary consult to work out plan to get your pet back in the best physical condition possible.
